Special Request: Big day to pray for General Convention

Believe it or not, that's a picture of me in virtual reality, leading folks in prayer for the General Convention yesterday afternoon.

Thursday, July 9th is a big day. It appears that both houses of convention (Bishops and Deputies) will meet as a "Committee of the Whole" to discuss an existing resolution that urges restraint about the election of controversial (that is, sexually active LGBT) bishops.

Whatever your position, there are plenty of activists on site to see to that. If you care about more than an agenda, and care about the mind of Christ guiding the church as His body on earth, please make it a point to pray for the General Convention.

If you are moved to pray, please go to Fr. Rob Eaton's prayer site, scroll down and leave a comment saying that you interceded for General Convention. And let Rob know that Northern Plains Anglicans sent you.

Thanks so much, Father Tim, for leading prayer for us. I found the service quite moving. It would not have been the same without you.

Shortly after you left we had a visit from BabyBlue - she's doing well ;)

I pray that TEC (to use an old 1960's phrase) "runs toward the blast". At this point, I think the best thing would be for TEC to fall on a sword.

Anonymous, they are well on the way into the blast.

The prayer is necessary because God is always raising up rebuilders, faithful remnants and other such folks to find the treasure in the ruins and use it according to the mind of Christ. We need to be seeking him.
