Presiding Bishop sinks to level of juvenile potty-mouth

So, the Episcopal Club is the "thinking person's church"? Well, the Presiding Bishop couldn't seem to argue with the Christian statement of the Global Anglican Future Conference, so she sank into the campy, juvenile sarcasm favored by her gay posse.

There's an excellent analysis of her word choice at Hills of the North. My favorite paragraph:

That the Presiding Bishop of a once-great mainline denomination now resorts to comparing the words of those she disagrees with to toxic pollution or waste products or repellent smells or flatulence or semen says a great deal about what sort of leader she is and what sort of person she is. It says a great deal about the nature of the faith she purports to hold and how it informs her words. It makes plain how disingenuous she is whenever she talks about "conversation" or "listening" or "relationships." And perhaps more than any other single word that has been uttered in response to GAFCON, her use of the word emission shows why it is utterly fruitless for the world's Anglicans to trust or engage in exchanges with the leadership of the Episcopal Church.

This foul thing should be taken to the woodshed. I'd gladly do it.

Juvenile is an excellent description. She is incapable of refuting the Jerusalem Declaration so she must resort to decrying it.

I posted the response of Madam "Primate" along with Rowan Williams' response for an interesting take, here:

I'm not a member of the Episcopal Church any longer. : )

I don't recall former PBs taking "Primate" and her doing so in this letter is an attempt to assert her will and theology as equal to primates such as Archbishops Orombi, Akinola, Venables, Kolini, etc. It just doesn't work! For one thing, those great men aren't snobs.
