Yes, reading by-laws is deadly dull business. But you really need to have a look at the changes being made to the disciplinary canons of the Episcopal Church, if you care about local ministry. These changes, IMO, are a big part of centralizing the church's authority in a New York bureaucracy - an insider's club with franchise offices in other parts of the country - and eliminating any informed dissent.
