Veterans' Day, 2008

Veterans' Memorial, Canton (Lincoln County Seat), SD
O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant that we may not rest until all the people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thanksgiving for Heroic Service, BCP 1979
P.S. A big XXOOXX to my wife. She's just started a ministry of compassionate visiting at the VA Hospital here in Sioux Falls.

May the Lord overflow Melissa with His grace, mercy and peace in this ministry that His holy Presence may anoint her spirit, mind and body, thought, word and deed, precede and follow, undergird, cover and fill her everywhere she goes in His service and His Name.
Job 42:11 - the Lord turned (healed, restored) the captivity (bondage, poverty, illness, distress, disorder) of Job when he prayed for his friends.
The Lord be with you!
Amen.

Good for her. VA hospitals need all the care they can get these days...

PS...I'm the guy you talked to on the phone this morning from Lincoln.
