Bayou Bazaar as Raiders trade Russell for Alexandria Attorney

After reports that the Oakland Raiders had released former #1 draft pick JaMarcus Russell, news has surfaced that the former LSU quarterback was actually traded to the Alexandria, LA firm of Gold, Weems, Bruser, Sues & Rundell for Attorney Brad Drell.

Contacted by satellite, Raiders owner Al Davis said, "Drell has an impressive record, isn't afraid of anything and with enough good Bourbon will put on pads and take the field. Get him going and he don't care if it's gold and purple or silver and black."

A spokesperson for the law firm sent the following email:

"JaMarcus doesn't have a license to practice law, but he's still big and scary and we'll simply have him at our table for that impact. And he can throw a case of legal briefs a mile, so we'll save on courier services."
