South Dakota enters Coadjutor Nominating Period - but profile is still not available

According to the Diocesan Bishop Election Page of the Diocesan website, the profile for Bishop Coadjutor was to have been made public at the start of the week.

But the profile is not up, nor is there any explanation for the delay.

Why would that surprise anyone? This diocese has a track record of being late and of neglect.......

Just take the one from the other Dakota and change the name.

that works for me

"Taking the one from the other Dakota" would work for me, too... except that the canons give +SD and/or the PB veto power and all kinds of other intrusive control over such a plan.

Gotta fit the words "diversity", "inclusion", "inbutu", "indaba" as well as various female pro-nouns to describe God throughout the document. Patience, patience.

West Texas couldn't fill as slate for their election....this should be interesting for a diocese like SD to find someone. Anyone wanna take bets on Martin Brokenleg coming back? He's got all the street cred required by TEC now.

Martin Brokenleg so far refuses to live in the U.S. because of lack of recognition for his same sex "marriage" (the couple lives in Vancouver).

Who knows. Most TEC clergy want to be paid six figures to live in coastal cities and talk about their sex lives over wine & cheese. Doesn't make many good candidates for the Northern Plains.

STILL no profile??? OK, I'll write one for you:

Our diocese (this one, not the other Dakota) is a diverse inclusive place filled with huge steaming mounds of ubuntu and indaba. We perform counter-clockwise circle dances around a genuine Earth-Maker Aerobic Composter while wearing prayer shawls and howling soulfully at Sister Moon. We have a bunch of buildings in interesting places, occupied by several people. While we have very little money, the money we do have is respectfully appreciated and if you could bring some with you that would be a real plus. With the exception of a few unnamed troublemakers who are orthodox catholic biblical Anglican Christians, we are a pretty flexible bunch who would love to hear what innovative ideas you have to spiff things up around here. Well, that's about all we can think of. If you are interested, just drop on by for an interview any time.

P.S. Applicant must have own car and major gas company credit card.
