St. Michael and All Angels

September 29 is the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels.
Evening vigil lessons we read tonight drew on the "apocalyptic" books of the Bible. The ministry of angels is part of our salvation through stuggle, and angels are part of our victory celebration with Christ.
At that time Michael, the archangel who stands guard over your nation, will arise. Then there will be a time of anguish greater than any since nations first came into existence. But at that time every one of your people whose name is written in the book will be rescued. Many of those whose bodies lie dead and buried will rise up, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting disgrace. Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.
Daniel 12:1-3
Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders. And they sang in a mighty chorus:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered — to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”
Revelation 5:11-12

Thank you, Fr. Tim and Melissa for having Evening Prayer with only one sheep!
Hope the AAC meeting went well and the rest of your evening was blessed and restful.
All Blessings,

We so enjoyed praying with you - you were God's blessing to us as we shared those wonderful Psalms, lessons and prayers.

AAC meeting was great... if preparing to bear witness and suffer indignities can be a "great" thing. Well, of course it can - that's what the Lord asks us to do.

We will bear witness at Diocese of South Dakota convention on Saturday...please pray.
