South Dakota Chancellor: TEC Lawyer to deal with "exposure"

In a comment during debate on resolutions, Diocesan Chancellor Steve Sanford mentioned that he had spoken with Episcopal Church Attorney David Booth Beers.

Booth Beers apparently told the Chancellor that the lawsuit problem would decrease in the future because TEC would deal with "the exposure issue."

In other words, get prepared to sign your life away. Something will come out of General Convention '09 that will give TEC the keys to your church.

"Springtime, for Booth Beers, and Schooori!"

Wish I had more to tell you. It was just a comment during debate... no document or anything to quote. But I stand by what I posted as far as what the Chancellor said.

Anonymous, As a witness at the 2008 South Dakota Convention I agree with Fr. Tim. I also heard Mr. Sanford say those words.
