A couple of wierd phone calls this past week.
1) A "pastor" from another state left a message asking if I would do premarital counseling for a same-sex couple in Sioux Falls (same-sex union to take place in the caller's state). Caller was most insistent that I call back and "give an honest answer." (I did call back and simply stated that I don't participate in SSUs).
2) A person claiming to be a business vendor called our home phone, reaching my wife. The person claimed to be looking for The American Anglican Council chapter (we are members), but kept peppering my wife with questions like, "Your husband is the AAC president, right?" (FYI I'm not).
Anybody else getting calls like these?

Dang. That's creepy.
When I get calls from people I don't know, I don't let them tell me what to do. I think I'd be inclined to say something like "I'll give you an honest answer if you'll do me the courtesy of asking an honest question."
Were I a wagering person, I'd wager that you're not the only one getting these calls.

Stay steady on your course and know that your enemy seeks to destroy. Be a good soldier. You know the deal - cut the enemy no slack in battle. These people have come to expect easy victories and believe they are dealing with fools.
I believe that I have been black-balled in KY, but I continue to look for work. When I have enough evidence, I'll find a good employment attorney. It is time to fight back.
In battle we discover is these enemies of the Gospel are as strong as their rhetoric or as weak as their minds.

It certainly appears that you are being subjected to a little harrassment. Well, I guess it comes with the territory, operating a blog like this, and being "a flagplanter."
Congratulations! Either our Enemy below, or some people, have decided that you are worthy of being harrassed for being so outspoken. Take it as a badge of honor, my friend.
Do you and Melissa use an answering machine to screen calls at your house? My wife and I do.
