Pardon my ignorance. I left Sioux Falls in 2006 to return to Virginia and I obviously haven't kept up with political developments. So I have 2 or 3 questions (just out of curiousity).
So when did Stephanie Herseth get married after being elected, and what's her husband like?
And who has Senator Thune endorsed, McCain or Huckabee?
Finally, how's Senator Johnson's health been? I know he was wheelchair bound for a while and maybe still is for all I know.
Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin married last year, I think...maybe '06. Her husband is a former Texas Representative (D).
Thune endorsed McCain.
Sen. Johnson is doing much better - actually heard him speak to an interviewer the other day and he's made a lot of progress. Not sure if he's still using the wheel chair.
I was heartened by the amount of prayer poured out for Sen. Johnson and his family, even by very conservative churches here.

Clinton would be easier to beat--too bad Obama seems to have a lock on the nomination!
Welcome, Patriot! (Cool name - my son plays football and powerlifts for the Lincoln High Patriots).
Many folks share your insight about Clinton's "beatability" - including many Democrats, which is one factor fueling Obama's rise.
